thanks for the links. i appreciate it. i'm just at a point in my life where i'm tired of being sick and on meds. i just was hoping to find others out there that are suffering like i am. i'm a stay at home mom/army wife and my hubby is deployed so i've been taking care of everything here. and i'm living in KS with no friends or family because my family is in NY and i just haven't found the right friends. the friends i did find, just weren't the kind of friends that i needed. i just needed someone who has been through what i've been through, or is experiencing what i'm going through.

thanks for the links. i appreciate it. i'm just at a point in my life where i'm tired of being sick and on meds. i just was hoping to find others out there that are suffering like i am. i'm a stay at home mom/army wife and my hubby is deployed so i've been taking care of everything here. and i'm living in KS with no friends or family because my family is in NY and i just haven't found the right friends. the friends i did find, just weren't the kind of friends that i needed. i just needed someone who has been through what i've been through, or is experiencing what i'm going through. Depression runs in my family. My mom had it really bad, and when her other health was bad her depression would get worse. I understand how you feel when you don't want to be on medicine. Right now, I'm seeking some help for my anxiety and I don't want to be put on drugs. I would recommend that you go to a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. There's no shame in getting help for depression, and I think people who go get help are quite brave. I can have some empathy towards you with your husband being deployed. My brother was deployed to Iraq, not too long after my cousin passed away there. So there was a lot of stress and worrying there. Do you live on base? If so try to get some other wives together so that you all can support each other. Everyone gets down at some point in their life, but if it's something that's truly interferring with your life, see a psychologist. There's no harm in just trying it out, and if it doesn't work for you try something else. I wish you the best. Just remember you're not alone. |
