I went through a phase when I though I was depressed. Turns out, I'm just eccentric. I'm a seriously odd and awkward person and it used to wig me out that people just didn't know how to respond or react to me. It takes a lot of patience to be a friend of mine. lol Basically, when I stopped giving a shit about what people thought, there wasn't really any depression to speak of.
Even when Iz (my son) was diagnosed with autism it didn't freak me out or depress me. Instead it seemed organic, natural that he'd be different (for lack of a better way of putting it). Granted, not everyone's circumstance is the same and sometimes depression is 100% clinical and if that's the case, see a doctor and all that. |
