I want to learn how to do abstract art like shown in this example:

Yes, it was made by mostly the pen tool. You can't really achieve that style because it's like one of those "personal style" where you have to be original, widely imaginative, and precise. You can possibly mimic the style and base on my knowledge.....
You would just have to mess with pen tool. I'm not a pen tool expert either but there are plenty tutorials on good-tutorials.com (search pen tool) or you can search it here. But I can get that weirdly shape with a pen tool by just messing around. So, just mess around with the pen tool. Also, you can see that the designer filled it with gradients (from light blue to dark blue, light red to dark red) and patterns. The designer also used splat brushes and use the sun-ray background, as well as a scratched out texture on top of it. Other then that, you can always ask the designer. (x |
