I find it kind of rude, but that's just me. When things are closed prematurely, I often have things I feel like saying (maybe that's why I created a new topic, who knows?! I do, and it is.) but I can't because someone who didn't post that they closed the topic, closed it.

Well yes, if the problem isn't resolved, then the topic shouldn't be closed. But sometimes it can be a mistake, and simply just PM a staff member to re-open it.
