Why do we have a stick up our asses about boards being stretched? I mean, is there any detrimental effect aside from aesthetics? Do we care about things looking pretty that we have to often distort picture from thumbs? I mean, if they're that big that they cause a loss in aesthetics, then when they get thumbed they tend to get distorted. If they're small enough that they don't get distorted from thumbing, then chances are they aren't making the boards look that bad.

Just curious.

In my opinion, in topics that are made specifically for one person to post pictures (such as photography), it doesn't matter if the image was thumbed or not, unless the image literally fills up the entire screen. In that case, it really is just easier to view the image in another window, so it should be thumbed.

The only other time I can imagine enforcing the thumbed images is if someone posts a picture in a topic unrelated to pictures and it causes the entire page to scroll sideways. Same goes in Members' Photos - people trying to scroll through a thread usually visit the topic more than once and don't want to have to keep scrolling past a picture that fills up the entire page.

Page Down button works wonders, as well as space bar. Also shift page down = all the way down, I believe.
