what are things that everybody else has gone through as a kid but you yourself didnt..

for example.

-i never had chickenpox
-i never read a dr. seuss book.
-my parents never read me bedtime stories as a kid.
-never had an imaginary friend.
-never saw the easter bunny in my house. (my friends said they have seen a real live easter bunny in their room as a child.)

The problem is too much early-born generation of teenagers compare their lives to an ideal American lives enough to lack appreciation to previous generations. We are all brought up in American societies that one naturally feels the desire to base their live on these ideals without even realizing it. Just keep in mind; we are different people from different ethnicity with varieties of background. Even older generations are not used to this ideal lifestyle in America because they never experience it. As a result, they began emphasizing to the youngsters about stereotypes, strange stories, misinterpretation, and whatever you name it. Therefore, their forceful beliefs create an effect on us as American young adults that hold us from tasting the real American life, not really appreciating every aspects of it.

yea thats pretty much true. sounds like an excerpt from sociology class. but its true. my parents are from the philippines so its not tradition to a lot of things in the american culture.

i never did either to tell you the truth. i worked with kids all the time and parents use him as a lure. like if you are good then santa claus will come . its kinda sickening when you hear it like 100 times a day.
