You need an actual "acne treatment" cream.
But if it's something you want to gradually heal along with a bunch of other pimples, make sure you're using a toner, whether it's a straight toner or a toner-moisturizer. Also make sure you're exfoliating at least once a week to slough off dead skin cells and dirt. It really does make your face feel fresher and the medications will penetrate through your pores more easily. If you're willing to spend a bit of cash without a dermatologist's prescription, I suggest trying products from Shiseido's Pureness line. I bought my boyfriend a cleanser and toner/moisturizer and his face looks dryer. His face used to be really oily, then he was on accutane for a month, but even now he still breaks out. But shiseido's Pureness line seems to be controlling his skin, so it's all good. Oh and Benzyl Peroxide did not help my bf's skin (was very oily) and it made my skin worse (I have combination). So now I only stick with salyctic acid. I use aveeno cleanser, shiseido pureness warming scrub (exfoliator), Mary Kay Formula 3 Blemish Control Toner (2% salyctic acid), and Shiseido The Skin Care Moisturizer with SPF 15. |
