How did you feel, when you got into your first relationship? Options

Actually, its a story about mine. My crush, who likes me back, asked me to be his girlfriend on Leap Day. He's really shy and so he talks more online than in person. That's even how he asked me. In a sense, I'm happy but I also have mixed feelings about that... Is it really a relationship if he can't talk to me (due to embarrassment) in real life as much as online? I also have another problem. I'm really really close friends with this other guy S. He's my closest guy friend and he's the person I'm most comfortable with. We're irreplaceable to each other. But our feelings are not romantic. Yet I felt guilty when I told him that J and I got together, and he was confused and saddend at my controversial actions (I don't believe that high school relationships are the ones that go on forever... but I think it's a life experience. Yet, I just got with a guy.)... to the point of crying...
What's the meaning of all this and what should I do?

He could have possibly become sad because he thought you guys wouldn't hang out as much as you guys used to because of your crush. Just ask your best friend about it. And about your crush, I had a crush like once too, we talked a ton online/phone but never in person. Just try to talk to him more in person. Respect his shyness. He'll eventually know that you're comfortable with him and he'll open more up to you. :D. Don't assume things before you ask. It'll help you out a ton. Just ask your friend about it. There's also a possibility that your friend has more than friend feelings about you. I hope everything works out with you.
