I missed yet another day of university due to period cramps so severe I couldn't even move out of my bed.

The pain came in waves, made me feel physically sick, sent my legs numb and reduced me to a weeping pile of squealing woman even after wrapping myself in an electric blanket and swallowing pain killers from 6am to noon today.

I get this once every few months, but I think it is because I am on a 35 day cycle (the average is 28 I believe) that makes it so bad. My mom wants me to see a doctor over this and I'm a little anxious to be honest.

Has anyone else had anything similar to this? (If you have, you have my utmost sympathy). How have you dealt with it?

If you think it's a cycle abnormality, you might want to consider the pill. I think I read a post you made about being opposed to the hormones and whatever, so I could be typing this in vain, but in all seriousness I virtually haven't had cramps at all since I got on it. The only other alternative, really, is to curl up in a ball with a heating pad if you have one, and eat aspirin.
