So, the button on my computer is starting to go, I think. As such, I decided to not turn off my computer and just log off instead. I asked some techie type at work and he said that should be fine. Weird thing is that my computer was off this morning, not just logged off. I do the log off thing with my laptop and it works fine.

This ever happen to anyone? (Where you don't turn off your computer yet it shuts off on its own?)

I apologize once more for dumbass questions.

Eh, in case you need specs:
Windows XP
Media Center Edition, Version 2, Service Pack 2
AMD Athlon ™ 63 Processor
3400+
2.39 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram
Yes I know my computer sucks.

check your power saving settings. maybe you have it set to turn off the hard disk after a certain amount of hours, which is default. you can also adjust your sleep mode settings there. if you want your pc on at all times, set shutdown and sleep to off.
