Why do you think baby boys are dressed in blue and baby girls in pink? Or that teenage girls lean towards red and boys to blue? Sure, this has been changing and many girls prefer blue over pink (me), but still...where did this even come from to begin with?
Gender and color QUOTE Researchers at Princeton University refer to this as the Pink Frilly Dress (PFD) phase. ![]() QUOTE When the color assignments among boys and girls did evolve in the '20s, the colors were reversed: pink was for boys and blue for girls. It wasn't until around the 1940s that the colors flip-flopped to the assignment we recognize today [source: The Guardian]. ![]() |

I kinda hate trends. For that, I'll let my son be dressed in pink everyday.

Let your son dress in pink as much as he wants, but you aren't going to be winning anyone over having your son the laughing stock of his respective school. I want to torture my kids too, but I'm a bit more traditional: billy clubs and knives. P.S. You can't shake hands with a clenched first, sure... but who the f**k wants to shake the hands of the men that are killing and oppressing their people? A f**king moron, that's who. |
