Well everyone started out somewhere, and most people started out with tutorials, so post your favorite tutorials of all time? Or the ones you started out learning what ever you like best in the design world :D

I started with Photoshop Elements. I just had fun with gradients and shapes 'cause I thought they were pretty. Then I got the full version. And I also started taking this course in Photoshop, which I learned a couple things from, but it was out of the creativity box and wasn't really a good class. I don't follow tutorials much, although I did before for blending. I learn by trying.
