I think that's a debatable topic though. Just because you believe in the teachings doesn't mean you have to follow the rules. I'm not saying make up the rules as you go along, what I'm saying is...
You're not really harming anybody by doing these. I wouldn't say the "Neo-Islam" trend is right, but I believe it's the ideas behind it you should believe in. Not the rules. Don't know if that made sense? |

The reason why alcohol is frowned upon in Islam, is because it alters your perception. The reason why cigarettes are frowned upon in Islam, is because it's an addiction. Islam in a sense teaches; Mind over matter. I do understand your post, I have no problem with someone who doesn't follow all the rules (we're humans), I respect those who better themselves and become better people overall, who have hope and see a better tomorrow every day. |
