After you have an idea of a website you want to make, know what you want in it and selected a web host, where does it go from there...?

Do you tell them what you want in it and they do it? Will they have different formats/style you can select from, do you have to make that up yourself or buy it from another site? I know they give you space for what you pay for, but will there be a selection of ways you could have your site done?

Also...will they do the "clickable" stuff for you? example the top of this page says....Layouts, Graphics, Scripts ect. can I tell them what to put up there and they'll do it? Thanks.

Thanks for the info. Would you happen to know any good reliable web host for the ones that help you put everything and the ones who let you create everything by yourself.

BTW dont you have to pay for the hosting on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis no matter which one you get. Is there a difference in the end result of web host that I send my data too from the one I do myself(more freedom, prices, ect)?

Yeah they have different plans... the three most popular are Tucows, Networksolutions, and Hostway.

Go to their sites and take a look at their plans before calling them.

If you want to create your own site, you ftp into your domain and upload all your files. If you much rather have someone build your website, then you upload whatever files and give them ideas of what you want. They'll give you some ideas to see if that's what you're interested in.
