My dad this morning was on the internet and got one of those pop ups that automatically installl onto the computer. I uninstalled some of the programs but there are still "POP UP" things running in the task bar area and I can't get rid of them and I can't find them on the PC.
PLEASE HELP! ![]() |

if you wanna try to prevent it from happening again while your dad is using your pc, go to your windows security center, and make sure everything's turned on, including "internet security" and "malware protection", which should activate windows defender and your antivirus (if you have one).
vista is set up so that a window pops up FOR EVER LITTLE THING that happens to your pc (installations/downloads/etc). a lot of times, though, people just click on "yes" or "ok" without reading what it says, which is what my parents do. let your dad know that those are legit warnings, and to be careful about installing anything by accident. |
