Hey dude i seriously dont think you would be any different in the same situation, if you wanted someone so much you would be what ever they want, do what makes them happy, but also in a way that makes you both happy.
I dont think you can call Edward "emo" because he wasnt posing to die he was actually gonna kill him self. To him his life was meaningless with out Bella he couldnt just go back to how he used to be, didnt you read how hard it was for him to stay away from Bella when he left her for her own good.
He would be able to do anything, be with anyone but it just wouldnt be the same to him... and if you dont get that your simply a dumbshit that has no idea on love but i guess i dont know much more than you do.
