What are some albums that you think didn't get its just due? I know there are a handful of artists in the game right now that have released nothing but good quality music, but often get completely slept on and overlooked.
The first person that comes to mind, is Obie Trice. Time and time again, he's been in Eminem's shadow. Perhaps the most gifted out of Shady/Aftermath camp (at times, better than Eminem), his album sales are stagnant, and outside of the 313, he has little no buzz. i agree with brandon on the issue of kweli. i don't consider him slept on. i mean does he have the exposure he should? no. but he's better off than a lot.

When you've done songs with UGK, you're immediately placed in a different arena. I think Kweli remains under the radar a lot because he chooses to remain under the radar. If anything, Quality and The Beautiful Struggle should have put him in the mainstream forefront, but he took a step back. |
