Hey everyone,
In this forum, there is a lot of talk about weather God is real or fake, and which religion is the right one. Some are just discussions, and I completely understand. For the record, I am a Christian myself. I am somewhat frustrated by the fact that that some of my fellow Christians are not able to defend their faith. I am seeing many posts like, "I am a Christian, and God is real." The end. I would like to remind you that with this answer coming up over and over again, we are not proving anything. I feel that if I were not a Christian, I would be frustrated because no one was proving to me why God is real and the only way. I would feel like "the Christian" asked for a fight, but cannot finish it. Here is what I propose: I feel that if you are a Christian and would like to get into a debate about religion, go right ahead. But you need to know every question, answer and reaction that will occur from both sides. It is hard to debate with a non-Christian and personally, I believe that if the non-Christian is stubborn about his beliefs, he or she will not change their ways no matter what anyone says. I would like to advise my Christian friends that we need to be prepared to finish a fight if you would like to get into one. I am a senior in a Christian high school and we have Bible class. This year we are studying Apologetics as well as world religions and cults. I have learned so much from Apologetics class. Our textbook was a book called: "Defending Your Faith" by Dan Story. I would recommend every Christian to read this book. It helps you not be wavered from Christ by worldly views and things you hear. I learned how to defend my faith for my good. It is an amazing book. I am sorry if I offended any of you. I am not telling you what you should do, I am advising you though my opinions. You may choose what you like. Thank you very much. I appreciate you all. Haha, religious battles. OFF THE WALL, SON! Everyone in this thread is being stupid. Instead of defending, you insult and attack others. What does this show? Weakness. I understand that we aren't scholars, but we have some pretty useful tools for our personal use. Check 'em out.
Christianity, though I no longer follow, is a wierd religion. It's not something you can read one thing about and be able to understand it. People tend to do this when it comes to debate. They will read something out of context and pride themselves in discriminating against one another. I don't know much about religion. I grew up as a Christian. It's not for me, at least not right now. Reasons being I don't understand. I'm not going to follow something which is a faith oriented organization if I do not believe. But I understand it enough to see when people don't know what they're talking about. For instance... Tamacracker... the Torah is apart of the Bible. It's the books of law. Where are the holes in the Bible? What do parables have to do with anything? They are merely stories written for Christians and meant to only be useful and understood by Christians. That's why they are in the Christian Bible. And not all people are moved by evidence. If that were the case, then religion would be dead. Except for those who force it upon others. And correct me if I'm wrong.... QUOTE Like someone else mentioned, apologetics is nothin but shit. The people want cold hard facts, not fantasies of a religion who base their faith on a prophet, who was HUMAN... nothin else. =\ Aren't you a Muslim? The Bible is not meant to fully be taken literally. There are some parts that are history, law, allegories, PARABLES, and such. |

Although you make a great point, I just want to point out that the Torah is not used by just Christians. The Torah is a Jewish book and Christianity, coming from the Jewish religion, abides by the laws in that book as well. QUOTE Yes it does... It kills the Original and only God and replaces God with a Prophet by the name of Jesus Christ in the form of a trinity. what the hell are you talking about? God is not killed. That statement is blasphemous. Where does it ever say that God is killed and replaced by Jesus? I need some proof please. |

The proof is in the Bible, between Old Testament and New Testament. |
