differing width of columns?, how to have a different width for left & right? Options

Hi, I am trying to make my left column 300 px, and my right 350px. When i try to change this in the code i found, it automatically makes the column widths equal; I also don't like the way it resized my display picture and name text.. can anyone help me fix this? thanks in advance!
