You know why I hate valentine's day?
A. Because women expect their men to buy them gifts. If they don't, they look like assholes. Yet women never give anything to their men, just sex... the same sex they have every other day. B. It's so damn obvious, how the hell are you gonna materialize a feeling?? Why does love have to be associated to materials? It's supposed to be a day where you show your love for each other? Then wtf is the point of marriage? You should show love for each other every damn day you're together living under the same roof, raising a family. Ugh... I hate humans /rant |

Not all women expect men to buy them gifts and if those are the only women you have come across, then I feel very sorry for you, my friend. I know a girl who spent a week knitting a beanie for her boyfriend for Valentines day and she didn't expect anything in return; in fact, both of them decided not to do anything for it and she still decided to make him something. b. And even though it celebrates "love," I think it's more of an appreciatory holiday. You spend the day with the one you love - what's so wrong with that? Another one of my friends flew down to Arkansas (from nyc) to visit her boyfriend. You can't be with your girl/boyfriend all the time, so why not set a day aside to visit and spend time with him or her? I mean... Valentines Day isn't the best holiday in the world; in fact, sometimes it can be a very upsetting and lonely time for single people. But, it's not a day that should be loathed, man. |
