Okay okay. Once again, I have another problem. I've recently met a guy, and he's admitted to liking me and wants us to go on a date this weekend. If it wasnt for his age, I wouldnt be second guessing myself like this. Buuuuut,
He turns 17 next month, is a junior, has amazing morals that I envy, and has his own car/drives. I'm 18, turning 19 in July. I'm a senior. I cant drive, nor do I have a car or job. Basically, I'm young for my age. I've been told by my sister and a few friends that me going out with him would make me look bad. What do you think, and what should I do? |

How are you young for your age if you're still a senior in high school? I'm a month younger than you and in college.
But anyway, I have a 16 year old male friend (junior) who dated a girl earlier this year who's 18 (senior). I don't think that was an issue for them at all. Their ages were every bit as awkward as yours, but since they were only a school year apart, I think it was fine, not a big deal. Of course, when he liked me I wasn't comfortable with that, even though there's only a month's age difference between me and the other girl. The school year makes all the difference; you're already probably almost a year older than a lot of your friends, and a girl dating a guy in the year below her isn't that uncommon. So I'd say if you like him, go for it. |
