i need hair color help :], HELP PLEASE

i have dark brown hair

and i want some like... redish layers underneath.
NOT all my hair. im gonna leave the rest the shade it is now. but like underneath i want like...a redish color.
not like a really bright red just a redish shade.
and i dont know what color eiither
yes or no? i need opinons. anything helps.

well ive had about every haircolor possible lol and i just have my mom dye it for me. from the box. you get at walmart. lol. it use regular shampoo and it doesnt really noticabally fade, to me anyway. for highlights/lowlights you can get like.. caps with little holes in them, and a thing that looks like a crochet hook, and.. well idk EXAACTLY how it works lol but you can control which section gets color and which doesnt. its worth checking out if youre still looking. (btw reddish sections underneath would look really pretty with your haircolor.)

i agree with having your mom do it for you. so much cheeper than getign it done. and a brownish-red for the bottom layers would look great. dont do anything to bright.
