I've had this question sitting in my head for the longest time and I've finally decided to let it out of the bag. Anyway, I've always wondered if having premarital sex was forbiddn for an unconfirmed Christian? Because, of course, premarital sex is forbidden for a confirmed, practicing Christian, it goes against the statement of committing adultery. But what if one was unconfirmed, does it still count?

I always have interpreted that to mean "cheating" on a partner. Adultery by it's very nature is surely forsaking the trust of one relationship for another. Using your logic of adultery being the act of having sex before marriage, I do not believe you actually have to be married to do this!
