My friend and I (SJalways) are completely different. For starters, she's straight, I'm not. We both seem to surround ourselves with the gay population at our school, and were wondering which makes the better friend. What do you think?

I don't care about their sexual orientation. As long as they're a good person by heart than they're worth being called my friend. It doesn't really matter. I wouldn't be like "oh, I don't want to be friends with her because she's lesbian or whatever."

.... Just because someone is the same orientation as you doesn't mean that they get you better than a normal straight person would. It's all about how you both think, and if you guys think alike, then you will get along better. Well at least to me.

I get what you're saying, but from personal experience, it seems like straight people are just... harder to relate to. I really don't mean to sound like, "Oh, this person is __________ in orientation, so I don't want to hang out with them," because I totally agree that anyone can be a friend. There's just a big difference, or so it seems, anyway.
