Coming home an hour later than you're supposed to be, questioning your sexual orientation, letting your hormones get the best of you, wanting to get crunk and stay out late, disobeying your parents and all that jazz. Sound familiar? Just as you would see those bad rebellious chicks in the movies, there are many in real life as well. Are you one of them? When did you go through it, if you ever did?

Oh yeah. I was only 14, and sure, I suppose there could be a worse year coming, but I sure as hell hope not. Coming out isn't fun, but it doesn't help when you were stuck in the situation I was. At least my parents actually believe me now, Christ. Not to mention I had this crush on this girl who is a total commitaphobe. (And doesn't like me anyway, xD) So I decided to become the poster child for emo-ness. So not a good idea, but I certainly got the attention I was looking for.
I think teenagers really have it rough sometimes. Not me in particular, but honestly, who really wants to be at this age? That's why the God I don't technically believe in gave us music. To get by when our hormones decide to conduct a mutiny against our common sense. ![]() |
