i understand asking questions elicits responses from others, not only that but emotions as well. But how really do you get others to open up in conversation...getting them comfortable with you?

People are harder to trust these days, so asking a bunch of questions to someone who doesn't feel like he or she knows you well enough isn't going to work. I don't open up to anyone besides my boyfriend. You're going to have to do some work, as well, proving yourself a worthy confidant.
