When to fight, and when to back down Options

There is this girl that used to date my fiance.
She still writes him up on myspace every few months and tells him she still loves him and takes any opportunity to talk shit about me.

Recently her boyfriend got sent to jail and she sent a message to John saying that now that Nick, her boyfriend, was in jail and they should be friends now. She kept saying things to him that made me uncomfortable and I wrote her a message that wasn't rude at all but asked her politely to get the f**k out of our lives. She suddenly got very defensive and started verbally attacking myself and my friends. I then sent her a mean spirited message back that told her if she had anything to say to come say it to me because I was at a pretty well known place in my area.
She never addressed my offer to talk face to face but continued, rather, to talk shit via myspace about various loved ones I have and then she crossed the line when she made a comment about my dad killing himself.
My dad died of a drug overdose 2 years ago and it was a complete accident. It straight up INFURIATES me that she would go that far, but it is not the first time she has done it. I forgave her the last time because she had moved to New York and there was nothing I could do about it.

Now she is back in my home town. She still writes my fiance on myspace and has her one and only friend talk shit to me and about me any chance she gets. Normally I would just crush someone for doing these things but the problem is she is 17 and I am 18. That is assault on a minor and it's a felony. I am not trying to go to jail for 6-12 months for this bitch, what do I do?

i'm not implying that you're scared. you still get to do all the dirty work; you just won't be found out so easily. :)

I threatened her life quit a few times since then. They would know it was me. I am pretty sure she might be getting a restraining order. I really do want to murder her.

Yeah, beating her up for her mouth while at the same time risking your future and criminal records just doesn't sound worth it to me. That's not to say that you shouldn't do anything, though, because if anyone were to cross that sort of line with me, I wouldn't let it go, either.

I don't know anything about this girl, but I would bitch the shit out of her in front of her face. Instead of requesting her to walk up to you (because, let's face it, that's like asking someone to walk into his or her death trap), hunt her down and just beat her up with words, too. Try not to throw punches.

It's what I would do. I'm pretty vile when it comes to revenge.

I can't find her. No one knows where she lives, if she works, or anything. I have a plethora of people in the neighborhood I heard she lives in looking, but if she never leaves her house she will be hard as f**k to find. The only place I could find her would be at my old school, but it's an alternative school so their are at least 2 cops there at all times. If I even raised my voice I'd get arrested.

Beating her up would feel SO good. I know just talking to her won't make her stop, I have tried. She runs, literally runs, away. She can talk big shit on the internet and at school but can't back it up and I am sick of that. I've tried every legal thing I can do. Words don't affect her, but a few swift kicks to the face with my steel toed boots would.

I am glad so many people on here agree that she deserves to be hurt. Some people in my life don't really agree
