It seems like every couple years, the line between what's acceptable language and what isn't is pushed further and further. I remember when "Bitch" used to be such a forbidden word, in casual conversation as well as in the media.
Now you hear the word all over the tv, and the taboo word of the year is "c**t." When I hear that word, especially from women, I just get so disgusted. But it amazes me that we've even gone that far. |

GOOD GRAVY TRAIN? is there a story concerning the origin of that? MY SIXTH GRADE MATH TEACHER! She was this little old black lady. And someone in our class said cussed. And she goes, "Ya know what? I don't know why you young people all have to be so violent...cursin' all the time...good gravy train!" She would ALWAYS say it. It was her thing. Kind of like the way she always wore a matching skirt and shirt with her little scarf around her neck. AND SHE WORE A WIG. |
