A lot of times I hear people complaining about how Kanye stole Daft Punk's song and made it his own. I just don't understand why these people are so offended due to the fact that Daft Punk also sampled a song to come up with Harder Better Faster Stronger and Daft Punk is in the video. Plus Daft Punk sampled plenty of songs ( a majority of the artists being black).
So my question to you is, is sampling good or bad? I personally like sampling, you can take a particular part of a song and use it repeatedly to make a hit song. I.E. SWV - Right Here (Human Nature Remix) sampled from Michael Jackson - Human Nature. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOKd_et0A4o |

when i heard kanye's song with daft punk's sample i was disappointed only because the daft punk song is so much better alone without kanye. so i stopped listening to it. i think that when someone takes an awesome and use it to recreate something totally different then they just ruined the orginial. i just think that artists can sample others work like the beat but not the entire thing like the lyrics and stuff. the beat should just be enough to use. or else you're not being creative.
