Duty- Babysit Marines and Sailors for 24 hours and be the most hated person in the barracks

Health & Comfort Inspection- Surprise raid on the barracks, complete with military police and K9 units

Last night, the barracks was on complete lock down for roughly 6 hours. Every senior Marine in the company (you know, the ones that can have you charged for crimes), along with the MPs were searching every single crevice of each and every room in the barracks.

There are certain rules and regulations we have to adhere to which seem a bit assinine. There's a curfew in effect for the majority of the Marines, we can't have hard liquor in the rooms, if you have a female in your room the door must be ajar and your conduct is monitored, etc., etc. Gotta love the bullshit. Oorah, Marine Corps.

When the raid went down, over 600 bottles of hard liquor were confiscated, roughly 300 bottles of pills that people like to OD on (OC, Percs, Codeine, the like), a pistol, a machete, ecstacy, and from one guy's room; a stack of gay porn magazines. No joke.

Along with the cops, and the senior Marines, myself and the other duty had to act like cops last night. It wasn't fun at all. No sleep for the weary.

Somehow I think there was more to it than just having magazines with naked men in them. He must have some skeletons in his closet.

Firearms are illegal in Japan. They're also illegal to have in the barracks, unless its military issued and you currently have it checked out of the armory.

In the states, I could more firepower than Israel in a residence off base, granted I'm within the rules of ownership.

Oh yes that's right that's why Japan invented airsoft. I forgot all about firearms being illegal over there.
