I'm so lost on the fact when people say someone is "too nice". Can anyone give me some clarification on a too nice guy and a normal guy?

my friend says the reason i cant get a date is beacuse im too nice to everyone and i treat the ones i like the same as everyone else. but im NOT a pushover
