Speaking of extremists who target the U.S, Paul said, "They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We've been in the Middle East [for years]. I think (Ronald) Reagan was right. We don't understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics. Right now, we're building an embassy in Iraq that is bigger than the Vatican. We're building 14 permanent bases. What would we say here if China was doing this in our country or in the Gulf of Mexico? We would be objecting."

i thought it was interesting. i've never looked at it from that perspective.

yeah his flip on that issue annoys me. also, the fact that he was in support a few years back of getting rid of bush's ban on federal funding for stem cell research, supposedly he now supports it. so who even knows what his actual views on the issues are. he's flipped his positions in the last couple years, who's to say he isn't going to do it again in the next few if he was in the white house. i'd prefer to think i'm gonna get what i vote for, not the opposite when he spontaneously changes his stance.

that's not to say i think it's an awful thing to change your position, but i duno. i just personally think he switching to the wrong side on things.

I also don't like the term pro-life. I'm not anti-life. I'm inclined to say that being pro-choice, I am more pro-life than the pro-lifers, given that I support the rights and lives of those who are actually ALIVE.
