Times Square is only good for a couple of store which operate there. And for taking pictures to show off that you've been there. And a couple of restaurants.
Good places to go to would be The Village, Chelsea has some interesting things, The Meatpacking District has a couple of nice restaurants, so does Hell's Kitchen. Central Park is nice, but also overrated. 5th Ave obviously. If you want really expensive designer clothing than go around upper east side, around 77th street going down, I used to actually work around there. 34th street has a couple of good shopping places too, and THE Macy's. If you want do shop in New York though prepare to pay high tax. |
