Buy a pack of candles of different colors and be sure to include white and black. Stick each candle into a wad of clay or playdoh (making sure they end up at the same height). Take toothpicks and cut them all to the same length and that both ends are flat. Then, stick a toothpick right next to each candle. Light all of them at once. Make a hypothesis about which would burn the fastest and reach the toothpick mark first. Observe and record. Etc. |
