For the phone, I like the pda phones, so I am thinking of a blackberry. I want something that is durable and what not and I think blackberrys are definitely that.
As far as a laptop, let me explain my main uses for it. I will be traveling back and forth, and I need to use it for school work as well as other things. I like to download from itunes alot, so of course that will definitely be on there. I surf the web, but I usually stay to about 10 - 15 sites so as far as that is concerned, it is not that big of a deal. I like to play alot of train simulators, so I figure that it will definitely be a factor in the decision. Any advice would help thanks. |

Do you have a budget on this thing? I don't like Macs, but you should consider a gaming laptop because they are more likely to be faster laptops as they can handle more. My boyfriend has recommended Falcon Northwest laptops and the Dell XPS. But they're highly expensive, so if you have no budget, then go for it. The higher end of Toshiba laptops aren't half-bad, either, but it's up to you.
As far as a phone, get the BlackBerry Curve. NOW! |

Their amazing little laptops, if your looking for something for portability then get a dell XPS 1330, their small and ultra light and very portable. Their gaming laptops so their by far one of the best smaller laptops out right now. Its actually what I'm thinking about getting ![]() Other than that, if cost isn't an issue or weight. I would suggest getting a macbook pro, their also a great laptop..if you like macs. If you want something bigger than a 13 in screen get the 15.4 or 17 inch mac book pros. Its going to be around 2,000-2,500 $ but its worth it, and their going to be around 5-6 lbs. Also if you want vista operating system you can also make another user so to speak and have vista on it and still have mac OS X on another. Cool perk. Michelle has a blackberry and from what Steven told me about it he said that its a nice phone and its pretty much indestructible XD Personally I like my smartphone, the newer version is even better. IT has GPS, WI-Fi, and bluetooth. Of course you need to have cingular to get them, its the AT&T Tilt, the only downfall that I really don't like about my phone is that it has a windows operating system. Palms are nice phones they have a mac operating system and of course blackberries have their own operating system. (linking you to cingular website..) AT&T TilT Palm Treo BlackBerry 8820 And apparently the pearl's are supposed to be decent: BlackBerry Pearl Oh and then a not so common phone that is pretty sweet, but I mean its going to cost your around 600$, my Dad got this phone for Christmas and absolutely loves it. Of course it was well worth to my dad in the long run because he takes really good care of his phones and keeps them for a few years. Nokia N95 Mad cool phone, has GPS (Free maps), wi-fi (extremely good), has a 5 megapixel camera, shoots videos at a 30fps (frame per second), has a pretty nifty media center, also if you shift the screen down and flip the phone around you'll see little play, stop, etc buttons for music and such. If you click on the link you'll find pictures. QUOTE The thing about macs not getting viruses is certainly true, but it's mainly because mac users take up such a small percentage of the marketshare that hackers would rather target windows users because they're such a large group. Extremely true, yet the mac market is getting bigger and more viruses are getting made. Although if your smart you won't be affected by them. I've grown up with windows and if I ever got a mac I guess I would just have to have a windows partition on it. I love windows and I love how I can customize every little thing that I would ever want to and with macs you can't. Also with windows I can buy new parts and change what I want, with macs you can't. Theres negatives and positives to everything, I guess the thing with macs is once you have it a few months down the road theres going to be something better made by them or someone else. damn >_> long post. |
