My computer hasn't come yet, but it's an HP Pavilion Tablet and I heard that HPs come with a bunch of programs that slow your computer down. I've been playing around with my grandfather's HP and think I should be able to delete most from Control Panel / Add Remove Programs, etc., but I've been reading up on it and a lot of people say that the best way to get rid of shit is to restore, reinstall Windows Vista, etc.

I suck at anything computer related if it has to do with ... fixing and installing things into my computer.

So I was just wondering if anybody has an HP and thinks that it works fine without reinstalling Windows without the bloatware. Or if just deleting extraneous trials and programs from the Control Panel works fine.

//edit: sorry, I guess this goes in technology.

My HP's alright. As much as people say Vista is really slow and all, my laptop's way faster than my home desktop with XP was. I mean granted, I wasn't the only one using that computer and the rest of my family is fairly incompetent, but even so. I find it takes longer to turn off my computer than turn it on, actually. As far as the bloatware goes, at Best Buy they offered to remove the trial stuff (like AOL and all that) so that it wouldn't keep coming up, so I'm sure that helped. Even so, I'm not sure it'd be worth the effort to reinstall Vista and all that, but maybe.
