Okay. So I'm a a freshman right now. I've gone with my club to do some community service, and some other stuff. But I'm a bit confused about some things.

One, Does the club record how many hours you've done, or should you do it yourself?

Two, if I choose to do community service on my own, how should I record it? Should I just get a piece of lined paper, write down how many hours I've done, and just get my supervisor to sign it or something?

Okay. One more question. When you're a senior, and you're going to apply for a college, will your community service hours appear on your transcript, or no? How are you supposed to get in your OWN hours that you've done, so that it adds up to your transcript?

Sorry for so many questions. I'm just so confused. =/ Any help is appreciated!

Usually, you will have a signed piece of slip by someone who's supervising your hours to prove that you've done X amount of time, and then you will have to show it to your club advisor and they will then record and track what you have done.

Secondly, most colleges want activity resumes along with your application. Read up on how an activity resume should look like, and under that category, just add what you did as community service and for how many hours per week, or however you choose to measure the time that amounted to all of your community service help.
