I never understood why Entertainment didn't just become organized subforums like Interests. I think it would end up being a more directed and interesting section that way. A film section, a music section, move the sports and books sections in - why not?
As I said before, creating subforums creates more places for posts to hide and makes posting rather frustrating for people who try to make topics within those subforums. I've never had a problem getting to the Debate thread because I care about debating - just as I would suspect that no one would have an issue making their way to the music forum as they have an interest in discussing music. Being "hidden" like that could actually cause threads to be more organized, directed, and spam-free. If people who aren't interested in music stay away from threads about them, then we don't have to deal with their ignorance as much. Usually when someone makes a topic, they want lots of input, and if it's hidden away in one of many little subforums then it's buried, and that's not fair. They should want serious and thought-out input not responses for the sake of verbosity - clumping everything together promotes drive-by posting. |

Some of the forums on here, are totally disorganized it would take a miracle to make them right. |
