Has anyone ever tried using a Neti Pot before to clear sinus or anything? I read an article on it today [click to read] and it seemed really interesting.

QUOTE
The practice gained wide exposure last spring when it was introduced on Oprah Winfrey’s show by a frequent guest, Dr. Mehmet Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon and an author of health books. Dr. Oz explained that bathing the sinus cavities in a warm saline solution can reduce symptoms of allergies, cold, flu and other nasal problems.

I have a really bad stuffy/draining nose that has lasted all day and I want it gone!!! So I tried to go to the drug store today to pick up a neti pot but they were sold out and they had like premade packets of solution for sale so I picked those up and just mixed it with water and tried using a plastic cup at work... it kind of worked? But didn't last that long.

If you have tried it, how many times to you have to keep up with it? And I read that it becomes part of your daily routine, does that mean that as soon as you stop you become congested again?

Haha, I think I would die if I had a spoonful of wasabi.

So I got my neti pot today and just tried it! It was really awkward feeling, and my brother decided to videotape it because he thought it would be hilarious. But other than that... It really worked.. like I had complete stuffy nose and now it is all clear. I would recommend using this in a heartbeat.

Not going to lie though... it feels really strange at first having water drain through your nose...
