hi everyone =)
yeh .. so ive been told i need to increase the quality of the images and layouts i am submitting... problem is i dont know how to do that on GIMP i think one of the problems is that i am saving my files as jpeg or gif (etc..) i am unsure though _unsure.gif
please help

Make sure you're choose high quality images. When you see an image make sure it doesn't look grainy or pixelated. Starting off with a higher image is the way to go. Photoshop actually have a Save for web option which allows you to see different saving options of your image and it makes it easier. Although I searched and gimp doesn't have one, you may search for a plugin for it.

Your best bet is starting off with higher quality images and saving them as PNG & JPG. If they are animated you can save as gif. But for normal images just use JPG and PNG and see which one works out better once you upload it somewhere.
