Gays of Create Blog So I decided to start a gay support system on Create Blog. I don't want to be preaching to all of you; I don't want to change your minds. But this is just a little topic that has been running through many minds of teenagers these days and I am always willing to give advice on this topic. For all of you who don't know who I am, I'm Kimo. I am a gay. I came out at the age of 13 to everyone at school and later my family. Coming out is a nervous expirince for everyone, but in the end, when you are able to live your live the way you want to, it's worth it. So come on Create Blog, let's exterminate homophobia!

Not to be another person to rain on your parade, but gays make the biggest deal out of their sexual orientation than straight people do; therefore, "alienating" yourselves. I don't view you as anything different or special, you just prefer men like I do.

I mean when is the last time you heard of a dude getting jumped by a group of guys just for being straight as opposed to getting jumped for being gay? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I remember back in the day when people would get offended on this site if you used the word gay out of context. If you said something was gay people would get worked up over nothing. I guess they thought it would offend gay people or something. ![]() I will no longer be cautious to what I type. From this day forth I will keep it real and say bump this. I just can't kick it with you gay folk. |

Well, tell me one thing, would people jump on gays if they weren't sporting rainbow-themed attire or parading around talking about how "gay and proud" they are? Exactly. "Coming out" would be no big deal if they also didn't dedicate threads/clubs/parties revolving around them, telling everyone how different they are. What do they expect? That all narrow-minded, conservative people will appreciate them for standing up for their sexual orientation? No, and this is the consequence of them being obnoxiously proud and upright about it. |

That's not true. I went to High School with a lot of gay guys and I was friends with most. They weren't obnoxiously proud but they didn't hide their sexuality, openly dating other men. A lot of them were teased and beat up, while one of them was hospitalized because he was beat so badly. In the past year 1 gay guy I know killed himself while another made an unsuccessful attempt. Even the most conservative gays are discriminated against if people know their sexual preference. |
