Its pretty self explanatory. I give it to Common Sense, holding it down for yet another, well done, beautifully written, and amazingly underrated album.

I highly suggest people actually take the time to give all the albums on the list a good listen. Deezer and Imeem have most of the tracks if you're just plain cheap.

KanYe's album was solid, as his albums normally are, but Late Registration was beautifully done and College Dropout was just that damn fresh. He has to live up to his own standard.

Common's album sounded like an extended version of BE. You could honestly make Finding Forever and BE a double CD and it would have probably went platinum, and still be overlooked and underrated.

I'm still going to be partial to Lupe's mixtape game from last year. With tracks like Lupe the Killer, Failure, Jedi Mind Tricks and Switch; Dumb It Down has a lot to live up to. The FNF Army is on the rise, and thats no question. The Cool is definitely worth the buy.

Little Brother's Getback is one of the best albums you've never heard, you ol' shuckin' and jivin' niggas! Pooh and Phonte's lyrics are conscious in the sense that they aren't trying to change the world by hitting hiphop heads with biased political discussions (cough, Immortal Technique, cough), but they aren't throwing the bitches and bling at you, either. Its real life shit. Good Clothes, the album's single, is a good indicator of how down to earth the album is. Just make sure you kids get The Listening, The Minstrel Show and the Seperate But Equal mixtape.

Jay-Z's American Gangster was a boring version of In My Lifetime. Blue Magic is fire. His lyrics are on point, and they contain the dexterity of his earlier albums, complete with the greasy Marcy flow, but he sounds really bored. Not to mention the beats aren't as good as they could've been. Don't get me wrong, its a hot album, with some outstanding tracks, but given the throwback theme, Kanye should've been been the executive producer. That's just me, though.

Talib's Ear Drum just wasn't Reflection Eternal. =\

UGK- Underground Kingz. RIP Pimp C. Love him or hate him, Pimp C held it down. Bun B's legacy as being one of the greatest to come out of the state of Texas has often been overshadowed by Scarface. Nothing against 'Face, but Bun B never really got the shine time he deserved aside from 'Draped Up.' Together, whether you want to admit it or not, due to lack of stoic and politically correct lyrical content, are legends in their own right.

Scarface's MADE is decent, much better than the majority of hardcore southern hiphop thats been out for the past 3 years, but The Fix is an all time classic. Thats like Nas' upcoming album being better than Illmatic. Its an unthinkable feat. To any fan familiar with the earlier works of Scarface, I'm sure you can agree.

I still give it to Common.
