Gays of Create Blog

So I decided to start a gay support system on Create Blog. I don't want to be preaching to all of you; I don't want to change your minds. But this is just a little topic that has been running through many minds of teenagers these days and I am always willing to give advice on this topic.

For all of you who don't know who I am, I'm Kimo. I am a gay. I came out at the age of 13 to everyone at school and later my family. Coming out is a nervous expirince for everyone, but in the end, when you are able to live your live the way you want to, it's worth it.

So come on Create Blog, let's exterminate homophobia!

Not to be another person to rain on your parade, but gays make the biggest deal out of their sexual orientation than straight people do; therefore, "alienating" yourselves. I don't view you as anything different or special, you just prefer men like I do.

I guess its because the way the are treated by some in society. I mean when is the last time you heard of a dude getting jumped by a group of guys just for being straight as opposed to getting jumped for being gay?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I remember back in the day when people would get offended on this site if you used the word gay out of context. If you said something was gay people would get worked up over nothing. I guess they thought it would offend gay people or something. _unsure.gif

I will no longer be cautious to what I type. From this day forth I will keep it real and say bump this. I just can't kick it with you gay folk.

Well, tell me one thing, would people jump on gays if they weren't sporting rainbow-themed attire or parading around talking about how "gay and proud" they are? Exactly. "Coming out" would be no big deal if they also didn't dedicate threads/clubs/parties revolving around them, telling everyone how different they are.

What do they expect? That all narrow-minded, conservative people will appreciate them for standing up for their sexual orientation? No, and this is the consequence of them being obnoxiously proud and upright about it.

Not all of them wear rainbow-themed attire. Remember Karamo from the real world. He dressed in hip hop attire. For a gay person to get hit with the shank all it takes is knowing their sexuality, not necessarily them parading around and flaunting it. I mean honestly even if they did parade around why is this a big deal for someone like me? I just ignore it and pay it no mind and keep it moving. As long as its not putting me in harm's way I could care less.

Sure, but I think a lot of them do flaunt it, which gets them in trouble more often than not as they're separating themselves from other people.

It doesn't matter to me, either, what these people do or say or have sex with, they're no different than any other whiny group that supports some hippie social movement.

I agree there probably are some who do flaunt it, but being annoying is not against the law, therefore why does this cause trouble? This shouldn't cause any trouble but by coming out they get unwanted attention from those who hate them. But I don't think any person deserves to be treated like this, because like reptilia said "Were all created equal", but unfortunately thats not how society works.

Honestly I believe there will never be a such thing as a peaceful resolution for this, likewise there will never be a peaceful resoluton for racism.
