Okay, well this is pretty complicated so ill try to make it short.

i was with this guy for a year and a half, ( i am 17) i started a new job and met some of the collest people ever..then there was this guy that started working there and we conected instantly. we talked and hung out all the time. well the guy i was with didnt trust me even though i was just hanging out with him ( and other people). He started following me to make sur ei was goin home and all of the stupid things. so i ended it after a year and a half. well this guy and i have become alot closer. i want to be with him. but my mom wants me to wait a while before i date anyone else. she says she wants me to be happy, but im the happiest when i am with him and she doesnt understand that. I really have alot of feelings for this guy, but my mom thinks that he is a rebound. do u think i should get with him now? or should i listen to her and wait a while.. if so .. how long??

if you like him, go for it. although i think you should get to know him more. It'll show the guy that you're not a person that dumps somebody for someone that's better.
I'm not saying u are that person though =] i'm sure u have ur reasons for dumping ur ex, he was too overprotective anyways and i think you made the right choice.
