Here's the rest: http://www.grammy.com/GRAMMY_Awards/50th_Show/list.aspx I'm totally rooting for Paramore to beat Amy Winehouse's ass, although I know it definitely has no chance of happening. |

The Shins are more talented than every other band in their category. They need to win, but I have never had any faith in the Grammys actually picking the person with the most talent.
I think these nominations are shit, personally. Most definitely not based on talent, but on album sales and that doesn't say shit about the quality of the music. If anything album sales let you know how bland something is. If it goes multi-platinum nowadays it's probably no good. also, Amy Winehouse is not a new artist, and Icky Thump is not a new song. |

also, Amy Winehouse is not a new artist, and Icky Thump is not a new song. The Grammys are notorious for doing that. Shelby Lynne who won ages ago had been a musician for 13 years prior she won the "best new artist" award. It's mainly to honor people who've made major waves in the American industry for the first time.BTW, it's completely effed up that they're just now releasing Amy Winehouse's debut album Frank in the US. Shouldn't they do these things in chronological order? You can tell Frank is an older album because her voice is different and the production is slightly less on point. |
