is anyone else paranoid when it comes to updating or changing something on ur computer?

i am, i don't know what my deal is but i always put off updating things. i think because my general feeling is that if it isn't broken, i shouldn't try to fix it. i'm always afraid i'm going to do an update, and something is going to go wrong and screw me over. i just updated the firmware on my comp, finally. of course, it had to have all these stupid directions about holding some button until something else happened. those kinda directions make me even more paranoid about screwing up. then my comp made some loud beeping noise that nearly gave me a heart attack. we survived it though.

so yeah, are u one of those people who loves to keep everything up to date at all times, or someone who puts it off out of fear or just laziness?

oh yeah, and i hate updates because the majority of the time it's not anything noticeably different. that pisses me off, i wanna see that i accomplished something.

One time I did an update for the sound on my laptop. It f**ked it up and my speakers weren't working. Luckily, there is the system restore. eyebrowes.gif I just don't understand why Windows was recommending an update that would do that to my laptop. cry.gif Haha. But yeah, I am not paranoid. I just assume it can be reversed if something goes wrong.
