^ you need to check out The Shins. They are SOOOO good. The Shins KICK ASS. So do The Arcade Fire and Stars. I listen to a lot of Alternative Rock and indie (although, not really a genre since it's more of a classification). I've been getting in on indie music which is more on the folk side, and I'm loving it. Neko Case = amazing. I try to listen to as many local or Canadian bands as possible because I'm patriotic like that, and thankfully, Canada has a lot of brilliant indie artists and bands. I hardly ever listen to rap, hip hop or pop, which is why it usually takes me months to find out about popular songs everyone's listening to (example: I only found out about Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry a few weeks ago - sad, I know). |
