What are your views on sex in relationships and outside of relationships.

i feel like sex in a serious relationship is pretty hard to handle, at least at my age. it gets difficult to balance other aspects of the relationships sometimes when i'm being distracted like that. however, if you can handle the balance, then it's a great way to get close to your significant other.
outside of relationships, i wouldn't have sex. sex in general makes me feel really vulnerable to the other person, and for the most part, i'm not into being vulnerable, not even with some of my closer friends. my friends are pretty used to me being some invincible pillar of strength + mother teresa figure, so it's weird for them if i do anything that remotely 'weakens' my base of what i believe in and my personality - which would include sex. it's really a crazy emotional/physical thing for me. i'm not going to be vulnerable without reciprocation. |

I'm with you on this one. I can only have sex with people that I trust, which is usually the person with whom I'm in a relationship. Sex can be a highly manipulative tool, and if you don't know what you're getting yourself into, it can always be used against your favor. A lot of the time, it is used against your favor. I'm not into being manipulated or humiliated because some jackass thought it would be funny to share with the world. So, there are a lot of unspoken gestures to people that would make them believe that I'm not interested in engaging in a one-night stand. If that's acting overly self-assured, well, so be it. |
