i have my heart set on getting a 21-inch flat panel computer monitor for christmas. laugh.gif
the only problem is, i'm not exactly the richest kid ever. i don't exactly trust e-bay, especially the things i've looked it-it's not convincing enough. it has to be under or at $300, and with built in speakers.
so...the point. any recommendations? all are appreciated. :]

scratch that! actually don't completely-recommendations still amazingly appreciated.
now...what would be the best monitor to get? like, brand, screen size...i really don't want any smaller than 20 inches, so i was thinking maybe 22? i'm having major problems finding decent priced 21-inches. so...your opinion? recommendations appreciated, of course.

I would suggest this 19" monitor from ACER. You can also get free shipping with the promo code I have included. \

MONITOR:
PRICE: $169.99
LINK: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824009091
PROMOCODE: EMC1130DXSP01

You will need speakers. Getting speakers included with your monitor isn't good enough. If you're budget is $300 then I would suggest getting these. You'll probably need an adapter, so pick up a Y splitter with it.

SPEAKERS:
PRICE: $99.99
LINK: http://www.buy.com/retail/Product.asp?sku=204509050#cRevSec

SPLITTER:
PRICE: $6.99

This stereo has recently went on sale at buy.com. It's a great system. Originally it went for $400 dollars. Now they are selling it for $100.

With this setup, you'll be more than happy with your sound system and monitor. This sound system will be able to rock your house, and your monitor will be big enough, bright enough, and have a high enough resolution. I had my aunt purchase this monitor, and she's extremely happy with it. Believe me, you'll be happy. ;]

thanks a ton-one problem. i'm not going for less than 20 inches of sexiness.

edit-that's kinda...extremely too expensive for speakers. i was browsing last night and decided to scratch the speaker in monitor thing-but dang. i want something kinda like this, and preferably under 50...40 would be amazing. 30 would be a definite buy. on that note, would you recommend it? it seems kinda-ok, a lot-cheap.

I don't know, I could look for a 20 inch, but it's tough to find a decent one for under 250. I would rather reap the benfits of a nice stereo.
