There are a few topics on here about racism but they didn't really get into the topic that I wanted to discuss. Today, our class was talking about prejudice and racism and what caused people to be racist. It was quite interesting really, because my teacher said that the reason why people are racist is because they're afraid.
What do you guys think about this? Or what do you think causes people to be racist? |

I think racism is believing that your race is superior to others'. Indirectly or directly. Calling someone a f**king chink is a sign of racism. At least, so I think.
Then again, there are what you call being prejudiced or judgemental. I, for one, am prejudiced. I don't go arround calling people f**king chinks, n****rs, crackers (except when I joke around with Josh) but I tend to be distant towards certain races just because of personal experience. I don't think I'm better than them or they're below me. Far from that. I'd rather just avoid them ... ya knoe. |
